Red face How can nuts be healthy when they are rich in fats?

Many people shun nuts and seeds because they are rich in fats (40 per cent). But they contain the ‘good fats’ that are required by the body.
• Nuts and seeds are totally free from cholesterol, which is a risk factor associated with fats of animal origin.
• They have a healthy percentage of some essential minerals like magnesium(almonds, cashew and walnuts) and copper (apricots).
• Nuts are also sources of good quality proteins with essential amino acids particularly lysine.
