I have this common sickness that most people get when they are allergic to dust, pollen and other irritating particles that may harm the opthalmic sensation. If I got hit by colds, I usually end up getting a slight fever due to sneezing for hours and headache. I know that drinking a glass of orange juice rich Vitamin C can cure colds. But what are other home remedies to cure it?

I was told locally harvested honey helps in alleviating the allergies. makes sense, since the bees take the nectar from those pollen trees and maybe if you take the honey there will be some sort of immunity developing. -F |

I find that when I get one of those attacks of continual sneezing, blowing of the nose, etc. the best thing I can do is go to sleep. if it's daytime, I take a nap. Somehow I always feel better when I wake up. I think the act of relaxing helps to turn down the symptoms.

If you are allergic to something like dust or pollen, you need to expose yourself to that allergen more often so you end up immune to it. if you rely on anti-allergic drugs, you will end up lowering your immune system. Though Vitamin C is good in curing colds, try some vitamin E and B complex too.

My hubby is really allergic to dust when it reaches his nose he can't stop sneezing then mucus keeps on blocking his nose making him unable to breath freely. I can't think of any good way to cure his allergy.

Try Korean Red Ginseng, just a suggestion. In my case before, I often got colds and coughs especially when weather changed. After a friend introduced the korean red ginsing to me my immune system got better. You will just have to mix a little of it into the water you will be drinking at least once a day. Anyway, consult the physician about it also.

Hot tea or plain hot water really helps me a lot. It's really important that you stay hydrated so you can flush out the germs from your body.

Do you drink plenty of water everyday? Water therapy is very helpful here. You may also drink a fresh lemon juice with warm water. Of course, eating lots of vit C is also important. |

When I get sick, my mom always makes me eat a lot of oranges. Orange juice is just as good, but my mom makes sure I eat my fruit, too.

If you are allergic to dust and pollens, its the allergy that should be cured and not the resulting sneezing and colds. You can try some anti-histamines.

Also, try avoiding them if you are allergic. Don't let yourself be exposed on them.

Well dust and pollens are everywhere you can't just avoid them since they are being carried by the wind. You can take some medicines like what mamabear said they're really effective.
