Default Does anyone have miraculous remedy for sore throat?

Hi guys,

I was at work the other week in Sales. This customer stated he had been soooo sick. I thought I know.

Yes washing my hands etc just after he departed was the first thing I did.

Did not work - I got the cold. I have stopped coughing finally but my throat is just feels really dry and sore.

The only thing that helps a little is warm honey and lemon juice.

Any ideas out there.

Hot lemon tea with honey works for me, but it sounds like that's what you are doing! Also I try gargling with a little salt water.

Another thing that is nice is some tea steeped with some anise and sweetened with honey.

If you feel like the sore throat is not getting better, then go to the doctor since some sore throats require treatment with antibiotics.

good luck

Well, I have a remedy but it's a nasty one. It always helps me though - soothes sore throat and reduces or temporarily stops coughing. Get some hot milk (do not boil), add some butter in it and 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda. Mix well and drink as hot as you can stand it.

Honey is a good cure for anything so carry on with it.
And you have to take plenty of liquids too.
Your throat was stretched to its limits by the coughing so you should let it rest.
How? Don't shout. Don't speak unless necessary. Even for a day, it would rest your throat.

A really good one for sore throat, if you can handle it: cut up an onion into eigths and spread the pieces into a bowel, cover it with honey and leave for two hours to start. The onion will produce juice that will mix with the honey, take a treaspoon of this whenever you feel sore, you can keep it in the cupboard covered and it will be good for a couple of days and will kepp producing juicE!

Drinking lemon with honey or tea with honey helps sore throat. Use warm water with a pinch of salt to gargle a few times per day. Try both these remedies concurrently. It should cure your sore throat naturally.

Slice up some ginger, boil it, and make it into a tea. This is effective for sore throats.

That's a great advice! Not talking makes things a lot easier - especially when your throat feels like sandpaper. Honey and lemon tea is what makes it go away even faster, too.

When I was younger, I used to gargle with warm water mixed with a little salt whenever I had sorethroat. I know that ginger boiled in water and mixed with a little sugar can cure sorethroat also.

Well you should gargle hot water with salt in order to lessen the sore. That's what I usually do when my tonsils swells. You could try it might work for you.
