Default PMS is ruining my life! Help...natural remedies or cures?

I just feel like life can't go on when I have my 2 weeks of PMS. It's not even the physical that I can't deal with..it's these feelings of craziness and depression..I just want to burst into tears.

I don't want to take medicine because I think that's what has messed me up so much already..and birth control isn't an option because it makes me feel like I am PMSing times ten...I feel like suicidal on it.

Have any of you women tried natural remedies that worked? I keep hearing about apple cider vinegar and different stuff. I don't have health insurance and I am praying there is someone..just ONE woman out there..that can tell me a natural cure..or at least something that helps a bit because I just feel SO low about myself during this time of the month...........my bf doesn't completely understand but he does try. He thinks sometimes that it's just in my mind and that I just have to pray and try to think happy thoughts..and then I flip on him and curse him out and tell him that it's not like that..and I feel bad for doing it afterwards because he has no idea

You may need some blood tests done to rule out PCOS or something more serious. For PMT vitamin B6 is fantastic, it is natural and does work if taken regularly. Also changing your diet can have an affect too, salt is meant to worsen the symptoms.

Have you tried magnesium? I've heard it works wonders for mood in general and might be worth a try for you! Also it would be something you'd probably want to talk with your doctor about as maybe they can give you some good advice as well, or figure out if there's something more going on.

Wink What has helped me previously

You know I could see that PMS was really getting to me.

I read this information a while ago but it really made me stop, think and examine myself.

The article stated that when we get irritated by things during PMS time - most often they will be unresolved things that have aggrevated us in the past.

Because we feel less well than usual and thinking more emotionally than logically, these things tend to surface. Something that was just an irritation now becomes a major, major issue.

It suggested that writing daily in diary may help you to understand feelings you may have, providing you the opportunity to try to solve any of these issues before they become problems during the PMS danger time!!

Do you only feel depressed during your cycle or do you battle often and it becomes more unbearable at that time.

Hang in there. Try anything and everything that makes sense but never give up ok.

First you have to track it and then see a doctor to confirm the symptoms. Also try avoiding too much salt, sugar, cafeine and alcohol.

It's may be a good idea for you to see a doctor, as was mentioned above.

I find for me personally, my pms (including bad mood, horrible cramps, and low, low energy) was helped when I started taking daily walks outside, weather permitting.

Depression and irritability are often compounding problems, and improving small parts of your life gradually, can eventually have a large effect on your overall mood, even during the bad times when your hormones are all crazy.

I also find something I find really funny, right now it's the ending credit song from the game portal, and try to run that through my head when I want to strangle my boyfriend for no good reason except that I'm irritable LOL

Good luck, and keep trying to get yourself feeling better, asking for help is always a good first step.
