Can anyone knows the proper procedure for buffing he nails? I didn't try buffing but i heard from beauty parlor. I want to clear whether i did from my home itself....and steps in buffing.

Take a buffer it is a emery sand paper or a block with different textures on the sides. start filing your nails with the roughest side of the buffer, first just smooth out the major ridges then Move to the next roughest setting, and repeat with gentle side to side motion. At last buff with the smoothest side to get the shiny finished beautiful nails.

Thank you ladybird. I will try this week end. I heard that buffing the nails will increase the blood circulation in nails and promotes nail growth. Any other benefits in buffing the nails.....

Is this on top of the nails or just the tips? My nails are becoming rough on top and I wonder if buffing will help for that. I posted a new thread to ask if someone can help with that but maybe this is the answer.

I think you should do it on the tips only. If you do it on the top it may cause some scratch on it. It also eliminates ridges on the nail it's more like giving a finishing touch on the nail.

Actually i do want to know why go for nail buffing. Thank you very much ladybird, for giving neat procedure about nail buffing. I will try to do in my home.
