Nail art is an artistic way to add flair to your toes and fingers. Even though intricate designs need a professional's touch, I feel that with a little imagination, any one could try Nail art at home.

Before you try Nail art, you must ensure that your nails are shaped well with healthy cuticles. You can make use of different colored nail polishes or acrylic paints. You could buy a professional-grade nail art kit or improvise as you do the designs. Keep a Q-tip and acetone handy to swiftly eliminate any mistake.

Decide on a design and keep the polishes or paint ready, as the paints and polishes dry up rather fast.

Before you start, apply a base coat of nail polish. You can choose the color as per your design or apply two or three different colors in a pattern. Once this coat is dry, make the design on top of it. Try to start with a simple design. Finally, apply a protective clear coat to take care of your creativity.

To add an extra sparkle, try applying jewels or stickers to the nail art. You can use a drop of nail glue or nail gel to stick these on to your art.

If you find the creativity part tricky, but want to have in-style nails, you could use a pre-printed artificial nail or get a sticker and look great the easier way.
