Default Ridges

My fingernails have ridges and I would like to create a smoother surface for nail polish.

For years I wore acrylic nails, which didn't create the ridges, but I don't want to go through the trouble and expense of getting them again.

Are there any products that smooth out ridges or fill in the spaces between them?

Try buffing your nails, which should smooth them out and get rid of the ridges.

I've always heard that ridges on your nails mean you have a poor diet. I'm not sure if it's true, but I've always had them and I know I don't eat very healthy, so it would make sense for me. How is your diet? Do you think that could be the case for you?

If anyone else has any more information about this that would be great! I've been wondering the same thing for quite some time now

I suddenly got ridges on my nails too. I use to have very smooth and relative strong nails. I always thought my diet was quite balanced. I eat fruit and veggies on a daily basis, drink water, eat very little meat and bread. I don't use milk but eat cheese. Can it be because of the milk that I don't get enough calcium?

There are these really cool four stage nail filers. The first stage smoothes out all the bumps and then (it's a long rectangular thingy) it works down to shinning them. It completely got rid of my ridges. They look amazing! Then, when you paint em, it's soooo nice
