Default Stopping Nail Biting

Hi all

Does anyone have any tips on how to stop people (husbands and daughters) biting their nails?

I used to bite my nails. My mother tried EVERYTHING to get me to stop. It didn't work.

I now have long, gorgeous nails. I love them. I stopped biting them when I decided I wanted long nails. I just....stopped. No one could have MADE me stop...I had to come to that decision on my own.

There are types of nail polishes out there that taste terrible and are for the purpose of quitting the biting. I've never known anyone that's used them though, so I can't say if they would work or not.

That's what I was going to suggest! I've never used them either though. Also, I know they have things you can put on baby's thumbs to make them stop sucking their thumbs. Maybe you could put that on their nails?

OMG. I don't bite my nails with a nail polish on. It looks horrible if you will do that. Lolz.

There is a transparent nail polish product by Sally Hansen's that is very effective for nail biting. I bought it for my daughter and she has used it for a while. Now she no longer bites her nails.

People who are doing nail biting is already their habit...it can only stop by disciplining themselves, doing a habit opposite on what they want to do...its just a matter of time.
