Default French Manicure

We can do the the very famous french manicure at our home. There is a kit available which has all the material required like the cleanser, scrub, etc. Just follow the instructions and you will be able to do it like parlor. Why to spend hundreds on it? lol

Yes i have heard of that kit thing. But better get your friend to do it for you. It will be harder to do your right hand if you are right hand and vice versa.
I think salon is the best place if you are planning on doing something elaborate.

Once you have done it a few times yourself it becomes quite easy, but if you have someone who can do it for you, then its better!

A French manicure can really make your nails and hands look nice and presentable, and use can do the French manicure on your feet to

@ Jessika - thats the first time I've heard of getting a cleanser and scrub in a French manicure kit, or are you talking about a manicure kit and not French manicure, because a French manicure kit normally consists of three bottles of nail varnish (pale pink, white and clear), and a cuticle pusher!

I have done French manicure at home, and it turned out great. Yes, it is not easy, it takes longer than regular manicure, and it might take some time to learn, too, but it looks so very nice - it is worth it. Besides, I certainly won't spend big money to go get it done!

What got me started is that I was given a French manicure kit as a gift. I decided to try it, and I loved the result. My husband liked it, too. Later on, I would not even use the sticker strips they provide, I'd do the white tips without them.

Thanks for your information. You are right. It is better to buy the kitrather than going to the nail salon...

You can also buy the needed items separately if you don't want the whole kit - white nail polish for the tips, and pale pink polish for coating. Not any white will do, of course, you need to look for one designed specifically for French manicure.

I have always wanted to try giving myself a french manicure.

I did have a french manicure on my toes once from the salon. I like it, but would have rather gone with a regular pedicure for toes.

I think it looks better as a manicure, too, not pedicure. I always try to make it as natural looking as possible, with just enough white. Sometimes when it is done by a professional, they put too much white on your nails; that stands out as fake to me.

I have tried those kits a few times and they work very well. My favorite one was from Sally Hansen's. It is affordable and you can find it at all the drugstores.

Default French Manicure

hi,
French manicure is one of the latest fads doing circles in the nail fashion circuit. It’s basically like any normal manicure, but the difference is in the end process wherein the entire nail is painted with base color and only the tips are coloured with white.
The nails are also shaped differently, with a slightly squarish look vis-a-vis the conventional rounded tips.
The entire coat is then covered with varnish and voila! Your French manicure is ready.
But gone are the days when bland manicured nails with one simple coat of paint were the fashion statement. With the onset of creative techniques and imagination, French manicure nail art is highly in vogue. Nail art is suitable for French manicured nails since these nails are extended for longevity and provide a good base for nail art. It’s like a canvas for the nail stylist wherein he or she can let the creativity take charge!

Manicure you can did it from your home itself. Just buy a nail care tools from the shop. Clip, file and shape your nails properly every week. Then completely wash your hand and dry it. Then apply base coat and let it dry, then final coat.

Although french manicure is outdated most women go for because of its simplicity. I do have rarely. It gives pinkish color to my nail which looks beautiful. I love to do it.

Yeah, i recently bought and tried the manicure kit in which we'll have all the items in it, it is good enough to do on our own rather than spending a lot outside, the kit is not that much cost too.

I have tried Sally Hansen's French manicure kit and it was really amazing. I found it very easy to apply and it lasted a longtime before I had to re-do my nails. It costs much less than the nail salons and you can use it more than once as well.

she could have saved time by making the french line straight, it is possible, and its so much easier when you have long nails, so i don't know why she didnt do it

It took me some time to get good at it, but I just do it.. without anything but two colors of nail polish. It's a lot easier than you'd think. I started by having someone else do it for me, because I'm not very cordinated, but I got better at it. Now, I do it and everyone thinks my nails are fake. hahaha. It's pretty. My fav way to do my nails for sure

By "simplicity" you probably mean the simple natural look it gives, not the process of getting your nails done? LOL! Because applying French manicure is anything but easy. Doing the white tips, with which you have to be real careful, then waiting for them to dry, doing the pink, waiting again, doing the second coat... This takes time and patience.
