I dropped my vacuum on my toe about 3 months ago. I had a huge bruise on my toe, but it has now moved up as my nail grows. Now my toenail looks purple! It also has a huge bump under the nail. Do you think this will eventually just grow out, or is my nail going to probably fall off? |

Ouch! That must of hurt you a lot! Well i think if your toe nail is growing back normal then it should be ok! Try putting some ice on it, to ease the bruising maybe or calm down the bump!

i myself experience the way you had. but i patiently trim my toe nails every single day to remove the affected area and i also clean my nail bed because it has blood clots it really hurts removing but now i have a new nails. it just look like it was not injured at all!

| I'm pretty sure it will grow out, but it may take a while. It sounds to me like your nails grow really really slow. Mine grow very fast. I would love to trade you!!! |

I have heard of an injured nail coming off, but if it has already been 3 months in your case, I don't think it will happen. It will probably just grow out, with new healthy nail tissue replacing the old.
