What do you think, how will Simon's leaving affect the show?

Not that I watch AI that much, but when I do, I like seeing Simon's reaction. I'm not saying he is the one who makes the show, but he certainly adds a lot to it.

Sometimes I hate Simon. He's like so hard to please and a perfectionist. He's always contradicting the decisions of the rest of the judges. Now that he's gone I guess contestants will be relieved lol but it so doesn't sound like American Idol anymore. Btw why did he leave?

Oh yeah, he can be rather harsh; honest, but harsh. I would not say I enjoy it, my favorite bits are the opposite - when he totally likes someone's performance and gives them a thumbs-up.

I'm not sure how long the show will last without him, because he really makes it fun. people just love to hate him. I hope they get another mean person lol, to keep things exciting. If everyone was nice, then it just wouldn't be the same.

I can't believe it, either. I only watch "American Idol" to see all the auditions of the people who can't sing. One of the best parts is listening to Simon talk about how terribly these people sing. Who's going to do that now?

Yeah it's like once Simon likes someone then the rest also carries the same impression. You should watch Connie Talbot, she's really an awesome kid and Simon likes her a lot.

I wonder what will happen to the ratings. I think that Ellen coming on this season is going to be a good change. I think that Simon is a huge part in the show. I don't think anyone can replace him and be as successful.
