Default Are you a trained dancer / singer ?

I see mostly women take the initiative to get trained in dance ormusic. Almost all of my women friends have taken one or the other as a hobby.
As for me I have dabbled in both. I have done some 2 years or training in Kathak and 1 year in indian classical music.I have to admit I am not very good in either. How about you all ?

Thats good to hear that you trained in Kathak dance, i have heard it is quite difficult! Well done for that anyway!

I havent really trained, but in my college days in Punjab, I was a part of a giddha group (punjabi cultural dance). This love of dance then continued when i went to university too, and as a group of girls we had many performances! Even today giddha is very popular in weddings, and i know i dont miss a chance to show my skills.....

No, I am not trained at all. I'd love to learn some dancing. As to singing, I was in the school choir, and I can sing in tune, but my voice is not very strong. I'd never venture to sing a solo.

I'm very uncoordinated so I really don't look good when I'm dancing. Haha.

I sing but I'm not formally trained. My brother and sister are both formally trained though. They are amazing. They have won several awards from singing.

I am not trained in dance or music. When I was in high school my best friend was a dancer. She had taken dance from when she was a little girl. Once we graduated, she opened a dance studio.
It can be a great employment opportunity if you are good and know what you are doing.

Yes, I am a trained dancer. I love to dance but not much interest in singing. I did many shows in my college days. I know some of the dance styles like western and classical. When i am alone i try to sing too.

Trained dancer no but trained singer yes. I had a vocal lessons before since my mom enrolled me. She's always so proud of my voice she even make me sing during their Christmas party at work. We always do karaoke every sunday. I also love dancing but it really takes quite a while for me to memorize all the steps.

I used to have ballet lessons when I was younger until I was in first year college. My mom would enrol me to these summer classes. Eventually I got hooked. I only stopped because I had to concentrate on my studies.

I haven't tried to sing alone on stage, but for me, I have this skill in singing especially classic one. When were you able to discover that you have your talent in singing or dancing?

I am not trained in either, but I've always wanted to give it a try. However, I'm not sure I could afford it. I think I'm a good singer and an ok dancer. I do both of them when I'm stressed. I really find that it helps get you in a better mood
