Many of must remember the film Bend it Like Beckham, well there is now another film to be released on the lines of that which is called Blame It On The Bhangra.
This is a film about a girl named Sonali Alban who lives in Southall. Sonali's ambition is to compete in a male bhangra dance competition/tournament. But the problem is its an only mens tournament and so disguises herself as a man and calls herself Sanj the Man. She gets trained by a bhangra guru to takes her to great heights and helps her to become a master of bhangra dance.
You will see a mixture of moods in the movie as it has music, action and basically is a screwball comedy.

Blame It On The Bhangra is going to be filmed in October and and the release date should be mid 2010.

Heard about this movie on the Asian Network some time ago, and apparently there were auditions going on too! Another good movie waiting to watch!

I really enjoyed Bend it Like Beckham! I got a good insight to the Indian culture too, so looking forward to Blame it on the Bhangra, as it will allow me to learn some more about the Indian culture through a different story!
