Default Action Movies

I grew up watching action movies, mostly the ones from the 80s, and while there have been some pretty good ones in the past two decades, I still think that they don't make action movies the way they used to. It just feels different. What do you think?

I don't watch many action movies, but the ones I have seen recently seem a lot cooler than the older ones. I think the explosions and war scenes are a lot more intense and things like that.

I do like modern action movies, but there's still some element that's missing that the old ones had. Everything is generated by computer graphics which is not what they did in the old days. Sure, they used corny stuff like dummies, but they were still good.

I think what the older ones had was substance. It was not action for the sake of action; there was something to think about as well. Today, sometimes they just overload it with special effects, computerized scenes, etc. without much to back them up.

I think you're right. I mean, a lot of movies just seem the same and they're SO predictable. But, cool looking lol

I don't hate special effects or anything, but it's like everything is done in front of a green screen these days. In the old days of action movies, there were stunts. And what about the action stars? There isn't anybody who can compare to the great action stars of the past.

How many women/girls out here knows that there were many stunt-women in 1920s?Check out:Helen Gibson

Pilots of those days used to fly gliders & jump one wingspan to another.

Noah( a movie name) flood scene cost many lives.

Ben Hur ( Many horses were killed. Seen you see in it are original).

There was also a stuntman who jumped from
Planes to Train but while taking a retake he died who doing that.
