How do you feel about Direct to DVD movies? I like them because they're usually a sequel of a movie from a few years earlier. It does seem a little sad that they don't get as much press attention as they should.

Yes, I have come across some good movies that I thought deserved more attention yet were released only on DVD. It happens, if that's what the big shots in the movie industry decide. Mini-series are a different story, there is no way they can be shown in a theater, so DVD-only release is justified. I love mini-series. |

It doesn't really make any difference to me actually. All my entertainment currently comes directly from internet. I don't go to the movies very often, nor do I purchase DVDs.

There have been a lot of good B movies released as direct to DVD movies, and even though they aren't getting as much attention as they would if they were released at a theater first, they're still getting a good chance. DVD sales do make a difference.

DVD's are pricy, I only buy those with movies that I absolutely love and will watch repeatedly. |

I don't buy DVDs; I just rent them. I'll only rent a DVD if it's either ninety-nine cents or if it's free. That's how I keep my expenses low. Still, Direct-to-DVD movies have a lot to offer.

I think it's cool, but I really like to have the opportunity to watch a movie in the theater. It just makes the whole experience that much more fun

There is nothing like actually being at the movie theater and being surrounded by quality speakers, but it can be an expensive experience, and there isn't a theater within walking distance.

That's a good point Hirami. It can get very expensive!
