I heard that the world ends in 2012, is it true? and i heard that 2012 movie is resembling or showing the world's last days, is it true?

I'm not buying the idea that the world ends in the year 2012. My husband said it was somehow supposed to be based on an ancient Mayan calendar.

The world is not going to end in 2012. If the world was going to end, it would happen when no one expected it to. Also, the Mayan calendar ends and restarts itself like when our calendar ends. Just because you get to the end of a calendar doesn't make it the end of the world; it just means it's time for a new year.

I agree with both of them (Joyjoy789 and hirami)...For me, the Earth will not really end in the year 2012. I think, this idea of 2012 is just an awakening call for millions of people to change their worsening attitudes since the world is already devastated by horrifying scenarios around it.

If anything, the world will probably be in a worse condition than it is now, but the end is very unlikely. The Earth has been around for a very long time, and it's still got a lot of years left in it.

The world was supposed to end at a specific year so many times, it is getting old. Remember the year 2000 craze?... I am getting tired of the "end of the world" movies, too. Think of something new to say, Hollywood.

The world doesn't end in 2012 - in fact, no one actually knows how and when the world might end. If you do a research about the Mayan calendar, you will see that they were simply announcing the end of one age and the beginning of a new one, which actually symbolizes the rise of the collective consciousness.

Each time that someone says that they know when the world is going to end, people always fall for it. Lots of people have made money on books and such because they said when they knew what day the world would end. This time is no different. When will people get smart and learn?

From what I've heard, it's just that the planets are going to be aligned for the first time and scientists are a bit worried that it may affect earths gravity. My ex even told me the other day that the government has been spending a lot of money on sending tons of rich, famous and the world's smartest people into space on the day that this may happen just in case. Has anyone else heard of this? That's really freaky. But, I think everything's going to be fine. Even if it's not.. I will be here and waiting. I would hope to spend that last day with the ones I love

Even if the world were to end, there probably wouldn't be anything that we could do about it. We're only human, and this isn't a movie or a TV show where problems could be solved by just nuking whatever was trying to kill us.

Good point. It's sad to feel so helpless, but then again, if it's gunna happen, then there's nothing we can do
