I liked Notting Hill, but I did not find it outstanding. I guess Hugh Grant was a little hard to buy as a shy unknown bookstore clerk... But the story is quite good, I agree.

I totally love this movie! I have watched it quite a number of times and still remember the lines. "I am just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him....to love her." It's so romantic. The song "She" became my favorite after watching it. I even used it on my wedding reception. Lovely! |

I liked Notting Hill. I wouldn't say top of my romantic movie list. that one goes Spanglish, Sleepless in Seattle, Lake house... But I love Hugh Grant and his accent, actually the British accent in general. -F |

I liked this film, I like Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts, they are not everyone's favourites but I think they work well together. The story line was so good and my favourite part was when Ifans stood at the door in his underwear and posed for the paps LOL so funny.

| Uhmm... I thought I'm only who didn't like this movie. I thought it was boring. And I love Julia Roberts! I honestly think that Pretty Woman is 10X better than this.

It's a great movie when you don't really feel like anything that you have to think about too hard. Good fun!

Chica is right you don't have to think and it is a great escapism movie. Hugh Grant is always nice to look at and I love Julia Roberts. It's just another love story and not as great as Pretty Woman. It will be difficult to find a movie in this genre to top Pretty Woman, in any case.
