Yesterday, my husband and I were have sex and before any of us finished, the condom burst and slipped off and [awkwardly] get stuck inside me. Luckily my husband was competent to remove the condom (saving us a trip to the ER). He reassured me that he have "not finished, but since the condom didn't have sperimicide [to negated any pre-ejaculant] I am completely freaking out about a potential pregnancy. (We enjoy been monogamous for over a year and are both std-free, thank god!) I took my first dose of Plan B around 26 hours after the incident and the second dose, 12 hours later. My term isn't that regular but I think I am at the midpoint in my cycle. Is nearby anything else I can do to prevent the pregnancy? When should I take a pregancy tryout? When am I out of the woods? Will I experience any long-term effects from the Plan B? Do i need to get checkup to ensure the condom parts are completely out of me?? |

I doubt if the condom burst into many tiny peices, it just probably ripped in one place so don't worry about peices of latex inside you. You can take the pregnancy test in a few days or a week. |

I have my doubt on pregnancy and there are more chances of getting pregnant. HCG is the hormone most home pregnancy tests detect in your urine. It can take up to 7-14 days after fertilization, so you can go for home pregnancy test after 14 days. Please specify which Plan B (emergency contraception drug) you took so that community can put some more light on topic. |
