This is one thing that most couples don't take the time to do. They get married and the honeymoon period is great. Then reality sets in, kids come and there is no time for the couple. I think it is so important to take time to celebrate just the couple. We do this on our anniversary every year. We get away for a weekend just the two of us. Remember, years from now it will be just the two of you again.

Yeah mostly when couples got married they always think about planning to have a kid that fast. Well for me marriage isn't always having kids first even if the couple has already a stable job. That's why I don't have kids yet because that'll be a big responsibility and I don't think I am ready for that yet.

And just because you don't have a whole lot of money to take a couples only vacation isn't a good enough excuse for married people to spend time together. You just have to get creative. Go to a nice restaurant or spend a night in a hotel.

Not taking care of one's marriage relationship is the biggest mistake. To me, marriage is not and will never be about kids - it is about US. When kids come, they are an additional job the husband and wife have taken on, not the center and the meaning of the marriage. So taking care of the two of you is a huge priority. It will benefit the kids, too, to see that mom and dad are doing so well, loving each other and having fun together.
