The news is filled with reports of the indiscretions of Tiger Woods. However, Tiger has not been the first person involved in a public adultery scandal and he most likely will not be the last. It makes me wonder if adultery is rare or is it common within marriage?

Adultery is nothing new. It's pretty old. Take into fact that it is mentioned in the Bible. The reason that everyone's talking about Tiger Woods so much is that he kept all of his business so quiet for so long. People will be talking about someone else soon enough.

It's an endangered species, so I would say rare.

Wow, I can't believe you actually ask that question. Adultery is as common as the marriage is and it will always be. People who are not completely satisfied within their relationships tend to gravitate towards this type of practice and human nature does not change.

Since most marriages end in divorce or have to deal with infidelity at some point, I tend to think that adultery is more common than a marriage free of it.

I'm affraid that I too believe adultery is a common phenomenon and it's been around as long as mankind.

I really don't think what he does at home should have anything to do with his career. How does him cheating make him a bad golfer? Just saying.. I've been thinking about it a lot
