Default Marriage vs Living Together

For all of you who are married, how do you think it's different than just living with someone? I have a feeling if I married my bf, nothing would change. So, I'm curious.. how do things change once you do marry?

To get married is like confirming the relationship.. committing...

You get a sense of security.

otherwise there is no other difference.

Yeah so true at least you got a proof that he's legally yours. Unlike in just living together forever without marriage he can just leave you when he's done and then nothing follows.

the only difference is that you have legal papers that he is your husband and you are his wife. so if anything happens you can always go to court

as long as you are commited with each other there is no much difference

Getting married is not just keeping your partner as you own. Everything you own and he owns from the date of your marriage are now conjugal properties. What he owns are yours too and vice versa.

So in terms of money reymartin is right. Maybe that's why our boss don't want to marry. They just want their money separated.
