Default Summer Heat

I refuse to leave the house without make up on, but find that, during the summer, my face sweats. It doesn't happen when I am relaxed, but if I start going in and out of air conditioning, it sweats.

Are there any face creams that help control this?

I have noticed that mineral makeup foundation helps to reduce the shine that is caused by sweating in summer. It is small enough for me to be able to carry it with, so I can easily reapply it when needed.

Try using a loose translucent powder over your foundation, this will not only hold your makeup but will curb any shining. Or you could use something like St Tropez on your face, do it the night before and the next morning wash it off and you have a fab colour and don't need foundation.

As to specific brands / makeup types, I have found L'Oreal Telescopic liquid eyeliner to be very reliable - it does not smear in hot weather. I have been using it for years, and it has never failed me.

Wink Blotting or Tissue paper

I think the powder helps soak up moisture. I have found having patting your face with tissues to soak up the moisture and reapply some powder.

Wear a hat, stay in the shade if possible and don't do any major exercise until it cools down.

I hope you find something that makes a difference for you.

I was also going to suggest the mineral makeup foundation. I think it is so light you feel as if you have no makeup on. It also allows your skin to breath and may help with the sweating.

To avoid sweating in summers, don't apply foundations, creams, powders, etc.., to your face soon after shower, wait for sometime, let the body get adjusted to the temperature outside, & the cream i suggest is apply any lactocalamine lotions to your face, & those parts that are exposed to heat.

I usually bring with me my face powder when it's so hot. I don't want to sweat and have an oily looking face so I put some face powder before leaving. Then put some again if I'm sweating.

Another thing that helps is removing extra oil with a good facial cleanser. Doing it several times a day and especially before you apply foundation keeps the face neat and not shiny. As others have said, mineral makeup is the best.

pressed powder is what I usually carry with me to get rid of shine. But blotting tissue works great too. It won't wipe of the makeup that you already have on and get rid of shine.

Default oily skin!!

I must have THE most oily skin of anyone I know.. even during the cold months I have a hard time with it. I have tried every kind of mattifying make-up, pressed powder, loose powder, primers.. name it! Recently I tried a new foundation, Clear skin for Oily by Almay... seriously the best so far!.. and I've tried all the best brands.. Lancome, Clinique, Revlon, Bobbie Brown, Sheisdo. Revlon Color Stay is good too... just a bit too heavy for summer.
I'm really happy with the Almay. I had to powder only once today, from 7am until 5ish.

Also... blotting sheets... I swear by those!

Some people who have oily skin find that applying a clay or mud mask from time to time really helps them. It's said that the clay or mud temporarily suck up the oil from the pores and soak it up, resulting in fresher, less oily skin for hours.
