In earlier times, when there were no lipsticks and make-up material available with the ladies, they made use of natural plant colours to beautify themselves. This is a very healthy way of make-up, i wish we could also do that. I am sure, the incidences of cancer arising out of make-up material would have been much less.

There are good quality cosmetics these days that are not at all harmful, and some are even good for your skin, like mineral makeup. I like the idea of using natural stuff, but I simply wouldn't know what to use, LOL! |

I didn't think about those naturally made make-ups. Although I was wondering where make-ups all started. It sure is interesting....

I agree - natural products are always better and healthier. Though there are some companies like Yves Rocher that use natural plant extracts in their products today and since I have tried most of them, I can say that we can still enjoy the benefits of what mother nature has given us so generously.

| Could we use the plants as a make up? That sounds interesting and very affordable. I haven't heard about this before. If I would give it a try, how long would the effect last in my face?
