Default How do you clean your make up brushes and sponges ?

I put my sponges in warm water with a few drops of liquid soap and/or baking soda and dry them in sunlight. How does one clean brushes though ? I only dust them few times. I use them quite frequently to powder my face or use powder foundation. Any thoughts ?

I wash mine in warm water with a little soap. I wash mascara brushes, too. It is easy, and when they dry up, they are so nice and clean, I think they even work better because all the buildup is gone.

Washing it should be!!! But afterwards have it air dried only and not sun-dried. It will cause your brushes to harden if you dry them up by sun.

Yes, I don't dry them in out in the sun. I leave the brushes to air dry on a towel or paper towel. If you want them to dry faster, you can gently press paper towel to the brush, several times, removing water.

I clean mine something similar to you, I rub them quite hard when rubbing in the liquid soap to make sure that I get all the makeup off. I haven't done it in ages so I must do it soon. A Lot of my brushes need replacing, what I have I have absolute ages, I think if you look after your products they last longer.

OMG! I don't wash my brushes. I just brush them back and forth on something to clean them up. I have to do these tips tomorrow. Thanks a lot.

I wash my make-up brushes frequently, thoroughly with warm water, little detergent powder added & gently wash them, roll in a cotton cloth, keep under fan air, they'll be dried and looks clean, greasy/ oily brushes like mascara brush, etc.., i first wipe with a cotton turpentine oil added to it & clean thoroughly.

Dip cotton in warm water and just clean the face overall. If i feel tough to clean i add soap in warm water. Then i use soap and wash my face with cold water.

I don't bother with cleaning my sponges.. I just use a new one everyday. I get them in packages of 40, so once I use one, I throw it out when Im done.
