How did you learn to put on your eye makeup? I have gone to many makeup parties and they all do things differently. I would love to know how to put my eye makeup on without thinking it looks sloppy. Any suggestions?

There are quite a few decent videos that show how to put on eye make-up in very subtle and complementing ways. Not all them are good but if you sift through it, I'm sure you will find some interesting tips and very clear instructions. Plus, you can always replay the video and try doing the same while watching.

I like to use some black eyeliner to bring my eyes out, but no so much that it looks really unnatural. After that I use an eye shadow pencil to add whatever color. My look is pretty simple.

That's an interesting question, it made me think about the time when I was in my early teens, never used eye makeup, and actually couldn't stand to have the areas near my eyes touched. I thought I'd never use eyeliner or anything like that, LOL.

But as time went by, I began experimenting, learning little by little - from different sources. I looked at how other ladies did their eyes, picked what I liked, and tried to imitate that. I also checked out magazines and such. It took some time to learn how to handle eyeliner and to see what worked on me and what didn't; I suppose it is always the case. But when you know all that, you are set to go!

I like applying eyeshadow with a brush, but I can't say I'm very good at it. I really prefer to have other people do my makeup when it's anything besides mascara. That's about the only thing I can do without it looking messed up.
