Default How do you learn?

I have never been god at applying make up. If a friend does it for me it looks great. But when I try to do exactly what they did it just doesn`t look the same. How can I learn the right way or a good way to apply make up myself and look good?

I think it really comes with time. The more you practice, the better it will look. Have you asked your friends to have them watch youand maybe they could tell you what you're doing differently?

I would suggest that you watch the videos on YouTube that explain how to apply make-up. They are quite useful and fun to watch. You can also practice it as it is explained. The more you practice, the better you will get at it. This is actually how I learned how to do the ''smokey eyes'' - I didn't get it right the first few times but now I'm great at it. Not that I put make-up on very often, but it is good to know nonetheless.

I have not worn make up in a long time. I think I may pop along to you tube to have a look at some techniques. Thanks for the tip ButterflyES, I would have never thought of that on my own.

Same as me, I'll never think of it. Since I am working at the office, everyday I put on a very light make up on my face without any consideration whether I did it in the right way or not. Maybe it's time for me to learn and watch the techniques in youtube, to make me feel comfortable. Thanks for that great idea.

Actually, I know how to apply make up however, I don't know how to combine colors. If you would like to learn some tips, I would recommend that you read some magazines. Does anyone knows where could I get some tips when it comes to color combination?

I know exactly what you mean lilbit.

I go to the makeup parties so I can learn the proper way to apply makeup. The problem is that everyone has their own style and way to do this.

I think that department stores also give free makeovers. You should check this out.
