Everyone has a different meaning for love, and the different meanings can be to so may reason, some due to bad relations, good relations, experiences, they way they have seen other relationships and so on.

For me love simply means affection, love and caring, and this goes for all relationships, whether its for your partner, parents, brothers and sisters, friends or any other relationship.

What does mean according to you?

loving someone means

caring for them
willing to sacrifice for them
wanting to be with them or spend time with them

These are necessary conditions, not sufficient conditions, as they
say in mathematics.

love has different meaning for me I find there are different types of love

1. Love for your children, is an unconditional love and a love that there is no greater, it makes you protect and care.

2. Love for your partner, is a love of affection, romance, experiencing life's ups and downs.

3. Love for your family & Friends, is a love of protection, caring and closness of understanding each other.

1 = agape
2 = eros
3 = platonic

love for me means commitment. when you love someone, you don't just give your heart out, you barely get to notice it but you are actually giving your whole life to that person you love. isn't that where the magic begins?

Every one will give new definition for love. One know the real meaning when he/she fall in love. It is just a feeling, no words to express it.

For me? Love is actually about being stupid. Stupid because you still do everything for it even though it costs you much.

Love has a different meaning in different relations, but over all love means caring for someone, respecting them, being there for the through their bad times as well as good times.

There are more things but each is different for different relationships, for example love for my husband means, caring for him, being beside him, supporting him all the time no matter what, respecting him, sacrificing things for him, doing things for his happiness etc.
Love for a friend is always being their for them in their good and bad times, let, giving them the right advice when asked for it, and so on for other relationships.

Well as some people have said there are many ways to discipher what love really means . If you are talking about your husband or your wife or significant other . To me love means to love them whole heartedly , even if that means to make sacrifices for them to make sure that they get what the need, but not always what they want

When it comes to the kids to me what it means to love them is to teach them and raise them to have great morals and respect others .

Love rejoices in the truth not in the wrong.
Love never ends.
