What are your thoughts on promise rings? What would you expect it to be like? Does it matter how expensive it is? What does it mean to you?

I think promise rings are a really, really cute idea, and it doesn't matter how much they cost. I really think it's the thought that counts. I had tears in my eyes when I got my first promise ring! It was such an amazing feeling. It's nice to know you're thought about. I love surprises!!

I think it's a good idea...on paper, but that's all it is to me, an idea, and a very idealistic one at that. Promises are so easy to break. It can be cute, but there's no real guarantee there.

I know exactly what you mean. I know time changes people and time can change love. It was just so cute when he gave it to me. I can tell he really wants to make things work. He shows me everyday

People change. I've seen that first hand, and I've been very disappointed by the change in the people that I've known. I don't think that I'd ever take the ring, even if I knew that they were being sincere.

I don't think that it would freak me out or anything, but I just wouldn't want to accept it. I don't have to promise anything to anyone. Besides, it feels too much like marriage. I wouldn't want to be attached to someone like that yet.
