I am a little confused lately. Somehow, I always end up debating people when it comes to gay marriage. Lately, a lot of people have compared it to things like beastiality, molestation and incest. I really don't understand how these things can even be compared to gay marriage. When I ask people, they have told me that if 'gays get rights', then people who are into beastiality, incest and molestation will want rights as well. I don't think that's true, because there are so many reasons why the above things I listed are bad. What are your thoughts?

Marriage is not a right Brittany.

Having said that I think everyone should have equal rights,
gays, straights, confused people etc, why should only
straight people suffer from marriage ;-)

I believe that no one should be discriminated against being married. Why should anyone care if two people from the same sex get married anyway? This is just another way for government to control people's lives, as if they don't do enough of it already...

So true. I am always wondering, what will they want to control next? I am so irritated by all the FCC changes that happened ever since Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson's wardrobe malfunction. I really couldn't care less, because it was so fast.. But ya, people overreact.

Gay marriage has always been regarded as a moral and religious issue. Also, take into consideration that this country was founded and modeled on very modest Christian principles. Personally, I don't care either way. Seeing the direction that marriage is heading--the divorce rate being fifty percent and rising--gay marriage will likely end in divorce anyway.

Well I really haven't seen any gay marriages here but I don't think it's legal in the phil to do so. Gay people here are still fighting for their rights but the Church wouldn't approve it. The way I see things some straight guys don't really wanna marry a gay here because some ends up breaking up because he just want the money of that gay person.
