How many frogs did you have to kiss before you found the one? I was with 2 people before I found the guy who I think is perfect for me. 3rd time's the charm!

I remember when I was a young teenager, and I always thought I would stay with the first guy I dated. I knew I was going to be very picky and listen to my heart, so I would make the right choice the first time around. Well, that didn't happen lol. I ended up with my first bf because I was pressured into dating and having sex by the kids at school. I had always been proud to be a virgin, but then I just didn't want to be one anymore. I don't regret being with him, b/c I learned from it, but it wasn't a good choice for me. Then, I was with my 2nd bf too quickly b/c I had just broken up with my ex.. that was bound to fall apart. Our personalities were so different and we rushed into getting an apartment together. I rushed into moving out b/c I lived with my dad and gma and I wanted to be independent. Then, with my current bf, I FINALLY wanted someone for the right reasons. He made me happy (and continues to every single day) and made me feel special. He didn't treat me like I was just a girl.. he made me feel like his copilot instead of his property. It's been great!! Can't wait to spend the rest of our lives together!

I have been lucky to avoid frogs, LOL. For some reason, guys I didn't like kept trying to court me, and since I knew 100% I didn't like them, I avoided getting into a relationship. I've had friends, I went out on dates sometimes, but that was it. Until I met The One.

Congratulations! You are lucky to find the right man early in life. I am in my golden age, and still haven't found the right one yet... I hope there is still a chance to meet him.

It's never too late. The only reason I am with Chris right now is because of a random decision one day to go on a road trip. Without that weekend together, we would have been states away and probably never talked again. I learned so much about him that weekend, and felt like we were twins basically lol, so I kept in contact.. things happened from there. Crazy how ONE decision can change our lives so drastically. I often wonder.. what if I didn't go? Where would I be now? Would I be happy? I doubt anything could have compared to this

I haven't found the one, but that's okay. I can still live a happy life. I have, on the other hand, dodged a lot of disasters. All of the people that have asked me out, I knew that I didn't want just by looking, and a few I was sure were married. My mom didn't go through a lot of dating trial and error before she found the person that she loved. I would also like to be like that. I know it may sound unreasonable, but I don't want to have to go through all of that just to find someone. I'm not sure if I have the time, energy, or patience for it all.

You are wise to be patient and picky hirami. You know what you want, and you do not wish to settle for less. This often means that you will have to search for your man a bit longer, but it is worth it. I know because I did the same.

Searching is not such a bad thing. I know a lot of people who have children and boyfriends, but aren't really that happy. I just don't want to make that mistake.
