| What did you think you wanted in a bf when you were younger? Did you end up getting what you wanted or did it turn out to be something completely different? I was always very attracted to black guys, and I've never dated one. I guess I wasn't thinking about personality back then lol, because that's all I really found attractive. Funny how you don't always end up with a person that looks like what you thought you wanted. I don't care about looks now. I mean, they help but I really look for personality and I found my amazing bf that way, so I'm happy I go by personality and not the color of someone's skin.

When I was younger, I always wanted someone that was like me; I just assumed that if we were alike, we would get along better. Now, I'm not sure that I would want someone that was exactly like me, but I still think that I would want someone that's as strange as I am.

I didn't think about it that much. I suppose every little girl dreams of having her very own handsome prince; someone who is charming, good looking, had a good income etc... the man I chose as my husband was, and still is all of those things to me, apart from the good income part. If I was ever 'on the market' again, I would be looking for someone who was fun, caring and filthy rich! LOL! (only joking). |

I always wanted someone who could make me laugh. My hubby is very good at that, but sometimes his humor becomes annoying when we're fighting or something and he's making jokes and not taking it seriously. Then it gets frustrating, but most of the time, it's good.

I wanted someone who is not a sexist. Someone who never says things like "Cleaning is a woman's job" or considers women somehow inferior, by definition. I grew up seeing a lot of men like that, and I detested it. My husband is nothing like that, thank God. |

The best type of person that I could hope for is a person that I could have an intelligent conversation with. People already consider me a person who is distant and doesn't open up to others. How could a marriage last if the people who spend time together everyday don't talk?

well, when i was young i easily get attracted to a persons physical features. But in the end, what would always matter if you could get along with each other. Its how you build the foundation of your relationship would always repay in the future.
