Default Love for pets

Love is a very strange feeling, we all have experienced it in some way or other, it is so strong a feeling that it doesn't differentiate between humans, animals or even non-living objects. There is very strong bonding of people with their pets as much as that they treat dogs, cats etc. as their children......do you share the same feeling and what is the extent of your love??

We have three cats, and of course I love them very much. I would not say that I treat them as children, but they are family members, that's for sure. They bring a lot of joy into my life.

I once shared a family pet - a dog. I developed some emotional attachment to it that when it died I felt a deep sorrow for its loss. Thats why after that and up to the present, I didnt have the willingness to have any other pet. Im quiet weak when it comes to emotional attachments. I guess I just want to avoid similar feelings in the futurem hence the decision not to have anymore pets at home.

Yeah, I do. I share that kind of feeling that you described with my cat. Her name's Meow-meow. A cute black cat. I never hurt her and always take care of her even though she scratch me most of the times. Specially when I'm giving her a bath.

Aww... I know what you mean. That's alright. Time heals. Sooner or later I'm sure you'll get over it and give your love to another.

I have a shih tzu named 'patch'. Whenever I get back from work, he's the first one who greets me. I love him so much that I treat him like a human being. I get him groomed often, I dress him up, I give him desserts like ice cream and he so love it.

I love my pets, but not the same kind of love that I have for my daughter or family. It's totally different.

I have 3 cats and I love them all, I would be crushed if something were to happen to them. I've had 3 cats killed in the road in the last 8 years. It hurts as I loved them all. It took a while to get over each one and then I got another cat. It's different with children and people.

I bet he looks cute when dressed up! Does he like it? I have noticed that while cats usually don't care or try to take it off, dogs seem to know that being dressed up makes them look cute, and they are proud of it.

Default Love for pets.

Hi,

Pets should need love & extra care. They have no talking power but surely they have emotional feelings. They love us, protect us, help us then how can we reject them or misbehaved with them. All the pets should be loved.

I have two dogs. And I love them as much I love my family. No kidding. My brother loves my dogs too. He said he misses them more than he misses me. Hahaha!

I understand what you felt that time, krisNY. It was five years ago when my pet died. I felt depressed that time, I always cried every time I remembered her. What did you do to forget your pet?

What makes me so attached to my pet shih tzu is that she's so sweet and loyal. She's the first one to greet me when I come home. I always see her looking down from the top of the stairs waiting for me. She follows me every where I go...even when she's asleep, if she senses that I'm going somewhere for example, the bathroom, she'll follow me. She likes to be cuddled and waits patiently for me to pet her.

I love pets especially cats but what I got now is a dog. He's really a good dog, he behaves well and doesn't bark all the time.
