I just heard that one of my friends from high school left her husband and children for another man! I can't seem to understand this.

I can see leaving your husband, but your children!
Would you ever be able to leave your children for another man? What would the circumstances have to be?

No, I don't think I could ever leave my children for another man. Why would she not make arrangements with her ex-spouse to have the kids half of the time, like having a shared custody? I don't think anything or anyone is worthwhile leaving your kids and frankly, I can't imagine any reasonable circumstance under which I could even contemplate leaving my girls.

I could never do that. I would do everything in my power to be around for the kids if it were possible in any way

I can't leave my kids if ever. I will bring them along. I will make arrangements with my ex-husband if ever.

I was shocked that she didn't take her kids with her. She just gave them up to her ex-husband. Can you imagine how these kids must feel?

Men do this all the time, yet somehow it appears far more shocking when a woman does it. I suppose the motherly instinct is too strong for that in most of us, but there are obviously some exceptions.

I don't have kids, but I know that I would never leave them. It just seems so hurtful when you hearabout a woman just abandoning her children like that. I would expect that of a man, but not a woman.
