Does anyone here practice abstinence? What are your beliefs on the topic? I've heard a lot of married adults talk about it, but not young people or young adults.

I can't personally talk about abstinence as I have never even thought about practicing it. However, not too long ago, there was a show on TV that gathered quite a few young adults who actually practiced abstinence. Most of them stated that they believed in abstinence for personal reasons, such as staying pure, or simply not being interested in becoming sexually active. I respect others' decisions but I fail to see the point of it all together.

Honestly, I can't say that I fall into this category, but I have a few friends that do it. I really respect anyone who is capable of doing this. For me, I just like it too much to be able to wait!!! HAHAHA, but anyWHOZLE... hahaha

I don't really practice abstinence. But I know I am capabale of doing it for a long time, as long I am busy with something else so I won't be able to think about it

When I was a teenager, I did practice abstinence. I would love to hear my teenagers talk about practicing abstinence, but I highly doubt it. In this day and age it is not discussed much at all.

Actually, a few years before I became a high school student, some people talked to us about abstinence, and I kind of got scared into it. The pictures they showed us, the things they said....I don't know. If you were there, I'm sure you wouldn't be doing it with other people, either. I don't have any regrets, though. I don't have to wonder in the back of my head if I have a disease or not.

I doubt that all the teenagers of this generation practice abstinence. Probably only a few of the few do. I myself do not practice it. Duh, why would I?

LOL, I used to think exactly the same way when I was a teenagers. I think it is pretty useless if you know what you're doing and it doesn't interfere with the other aspects of your life, like studies and other activities. Why not take advantage of one of life's simplest pleasures?

I couldn't say it better myself. I think you just gotta listen to yourself and if the inner voice has doubts, don't do it. It's that easy
