Hello guys, do you agree that we have to maintain three kinds of friends in our life? First, a person older than you, whom you can asks for wise advice. Second, a person of your age, whom you can talk all your plans, dreams, problems, and etc, with confidence. Third, a person younger than you, whom you can share share your achievements with them. ![]() |

I've never thought of it like that, but I guess you are right. I don't think I have anyone like that for me, though. I can talk to my mom and brother about my dreams, but only so many. I don't feel like there's a person that I can just tell everything to.

I agree with you, Hanna. We could learn also from people our age and younger. Actually, those could actually be interchanged. Among the kinds of friends you mentioned, who do you think would be your best friend?

For me, I want a friend who can take my advice and give me support as well. I go for a friend with older than me and a friend who's younger than me.

That is very interesting. I haven't even noticed that we could actually have three kinds of friends. Could we find someone who could be all in one? |

We could really have a balanced life if we have these friends. They make life exciting and wonderful. What do you think would happen if we don't have friends? I think we are going to be incomplete. |

This sounds alright but I don't really agree. I think you can do all that with any friend you feel close to and trust, regardless of their age. Besides, it doesn't always necessarily turn out the way you described according to the age groups. For example, you can have an older friend who is really immature and can't give any advice.

| Life would really be incomplete without friends. I always make sure to thank them everyday for all the good things they have done to me. I wonder, are you a listener or more of a mentor friend?

very interesting posts. Maybe it's true maybe it's not. I have friends of all types, younger, older or the same age. but I can ask for advices from my friends who have the same age as I am. and I can also ask advices from a friend who is older than me. and it's true that younger friends looks up to you, and you can share them your experiences and give them advices. but you can also learn from someone younger than you.

To have these three kinds of friends would be advantageous. Do you think there would be disadvantages too? I guess, we all have to choose as to whom we should make friends with. |

I guess that depends on how you handle things, disadvantages will always be present. But I'm not after the bad side of friendship because we all should be positive that things will work out well with them.

It makes sense. But I don't believe it necessarily has to be that way. Interesting analysis.
