Default Wish I Had a Sister

For as long as I could remember, I wish I had a sister, but all I have is a brother. I love my brother, but there are just some things that you can't tell your brother, only to a sister. Does anyone have this feeling, too?

Yeah I got the same feeling but the other way around. I was the eldest so next to me are girls then boys. I wish to have a big brother cuz I envy my sister-in-law having an older brother that is my hubz.

I always wanted a sister as well. I have a younger brother that I love but having a sister is something different. I consider my 2 closest friends as sisters to me though, so they kind of make up for the absence of a sister.

I do have both. I enjoy most when I am with my sister. She is my best friend in the family and we share lots of things. Brothers are great. He is your number one protector. Are you the youngest?

I remember my cousin, to have a sister was her ultimate wish since elementary years. Do you know what she did? Because, she's the only daughter and middle among the three, she told her dad that she want to have a sister. Luckily, she had her diary and her mom was able to read it that she really want to have a sister.

After a years, her mom announces, that she was on the family way. Unluckily, the baby was not not so healthy because of some medical prescription of the doctor. Sadly, her mom got a miscarriage.

OMG! My cousin was really frustrated that time. That's why I always treat her like my own sister.

Yes, I'm the youngest, but I don't consider my brother to be my protector at all. I just had to stand up for myself. Sometimes I find myself thinking, "I wish I had a brother." Then I suddenly remember that I do have one. At times, it's hard to think of my brother as a person related to me. A lot of times, he's just someone that I know.

Aw that's kinda awkward, because my only reason that I'm wishing for a big brother is to be my knight and shining armor all the time. I find it really sweet to be hanging around with your big brother.

whether it's a sister or brother you have .... things you can share and do together depends on the kind of relationship you have

I have a brother and we get along well. How often do you communicate with your him? I mean, just find time to talk with your brother about everything. It's really hard to relate with them but be patient. Constant communication with the family member is important because it makes the relationship stronger. I hope he could be your best buddy too.

I only have a younger brother too. I love him but still, we are not as close to eachother as I would like to be. Plus, he lives in a different province and I hardly ever see him. Sometimes I wish I had a sister as well, even though I realize that everything happens for a reason. I am just glad that I have two daughters, this way, they will never have to say ''I wish I had a sister''...

Of course, we have to love our brother/sister. Well, I perfectly understand with you, masara. If you are not that so-- close to your brother, maybe that's normal. But as an older sister, why not do more effort to have more bond as siblings?

oh we are on the same boat. I don't have brothers as well. I am the second to the oldest and I have four brothers. when I was younger, I really like an elder sister, someone you can talk to about almost anything under the sun. that's why when I belong to a youth group when almost all girls are older than me, I would treat them as my older sister.

Luckily I am blessed with both a sister and a brother. Me and my brother are only two years apart and I can talk to him about a lot of things that I cant with my younger sister.

I'm sure a lot of people do. Myself, I have 3 sisters and 4 brothers. I think it would be helpful to hang out with your girlfriends a lot. They can feel like sisters too

A sister would have been so nice to have growing up. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this until I was already an adult. My dad wanted two boys and two girls while growing up, and my mom thought that he was crazy. They couldn't have raised four children in those days; there would have been too many mouths to feed.
