A team of US researchers added one more red thing to the list of romantics, which is the red watermelon. They say watermelon contains Viagra-like ingredients which affect the blood vessels and even increase libido. The fruit contains substances like lycopene (found in tomatoes), beta-carotenes and another phytonutrient citrulline (present in white part of watermelon), which relaxes blood vessels like Viagra and other impotence drugs do and has no side effects. When watermelon is consumed, citrulline is converted into arginine through enzymatic reactions. The citrulline-arginine relationship helps in maintaining healthy heart and immune system and helpful for obese and diabetic patients. My husband eats water melon almost every day. No wonder he has been acting like some prehistoric animal lately...that's it, no more water melon allowed in our house.

How interesting!! I've heard of so many things that can get people in the mood but watermelon. WOW! Hmmmm. I dunno why but I just find that so interesting!
