Default Does your uncle in law do this?

Well my uncle in law is kind in nature since he's so religious he treats me nicely and he helps us in repairing some broken stuffs and he's also like our family carpenter of course we pay him for the effort since it's a tough work but we are really having trouble looking for a carpenter who will not rob us later on. So here's the scenario, When he's working at our house I notice that he's always wearing my hubby's stuff (shorts/t-shirts). I thought maybe letting him off once like this is enough but he keeps doing same things wearing our stuff this time even my cutie spongebob shirt is now his property. >.> My hubby bought that for me and he took it in our cabinet without even asking for permission. This makes me mad and my hubby can't even tell him about that.

I don't know anyone who does this. I know that this person's your uncle-in-law, and it may be hard to tell him that, but you have to tell him or this could continue, even get out of hand. Just be nice and respectful about it.

That's weird!! And why exactly you hubby "can't even tell him about it"? Has he gotten no tongue? Or perhaps he likes being a doormat?

(I hate it when men don't act like men, sorry...)

Even though he is a family member he has no right to go through your property, into your wardrobes and take what he likes. He should be respectful to you and your husbands privacy.

I would be concerned about what else he was rummaging through too. You or your husband are going to have to speak to him. It's not right.

what exactly is an "uncle-in-law"?

You should just directly tell him maybe in a humorous way that
you don't like him using your stuff.

Well he's the uncle of my hubby. It's really weird the way he does it all the time which is annoying. I guess my hubby just don't want to complain but I always tell him once his uncle got his favorite branded shirts I'm gonna wait for his reaction. >.>How I miss my cutie spongebob he sure doesn't care if it looks so girly as long as he got a new shirt.

You do need to put a stop to it. I would hate it if my sister even came into my home and started to raid my wardrobe.

That's really rude. Someone should speak up and tell him that what he did isn't right. I'm shy, so it's hard for me to speak up.. lol. I can't give advice there...

Can you lock up your clothes? That would send a clear message, without having to say anything, if you don't want to confront him. I'd do that.

If you feel shy, then give me his phone number, I'll call him and
tell him not to use Reira's spongebob shirt ;-)

I've never had anyone come in to my house and get clothing out of the closets to use them, but regardless of who does it, it is unacceptable. Perhaps you can suggest in a polite way that he brings a change of clothes for the times he'll be working on things in your house.

Hahah nice one! Well I don't even have his number he said his phone got broken so that saves your call then. Hmm I was thinking of giving him all those shirts my hubby didn't want to wear so that way he's so not gonna have the nerve to look for a shirt at our closet. He's so not a family member anymore if he's gonna do that after I gave him that.
