Default "Push Present"

I just heard this term today. It means, many women are expecting a gift the day, that is more expensive than their engagement ring on the day they give birth. What is up with women expecting so much from men? I'm embarrassed to be a women when I hear stuff like this.

Ya, I don't like the word expensive. haha. I am listening to a radio talk show at the moment, that's where I got this topic idea :P They're talking about it and apparently a lot of guys have been basically forced into it. Guys are calling in talking about it.

If you wanna listen too, go here:

kisw.com is where you can listen live :P
It's a show called The BJ Shea Morning Experience! Great show..

I have not heard about this... How crazy. I did not expect anything. When I had my baby, my husband brought a large bouquet of red roses, a card, and a bottle of Champagne. I did not expect even that, and I was happy.

See, I think that's very cute, because he wanted to. Forcing someone into giving a present is just rude imo.

Yes, those who demand gifts are clearly missing a very important point. They might get a gift, but it will be given out of fear ("she's gonna get mad if I don't do it"), not out of love.

As tight as money is, I would kill my husband if he spent that much on a "push present"!!! I have been blessed with an amazing man who helps with the kids and around the house (a little at least LOL)... what more could I ask for?
