do you believe in the power of gemstones? there is a lot of contradiction in India about wearing of gemstones. some advise ladies to wear on the left hand always while others tell us to do so according to planetary effects. what do you think?

I think it is mostly psychological and has the placebo effect.
If you believe wearing a particular gemstone is good for you
and will bring luck, it might work as a self fulfilling prophecy.

I don't believe in any mystical powers of gemstones, but they sure are pretty. I am just naturally drawn to them and I admit that when I am wearing genuine natural emeralds, I feel great.

I wear moonstone from last few years and my mom said it will keep me cool, now people call me cool boy

oh. i bought a moonstone bracelet. it is said that if one wears it, it helps to increase your psychic powers or something. what sort of effects have you had? any luck? stronger intuition?

i am not using the bracelet right now.it is of good quality and expensive. but, i started to have bad dreams while sleeping...so, i stopped wearing it.

I too have a moonstone ring. I hardly wear it these days.
When I was wearing I did not see in increase or decrease
in my psychic abilities. I was the same psychic as before.

I believe that Gems have energies that affect our own energies - from my own experience rubies do not aggree with me - they are sooo heating for me, that i get a blood nose after wearing them for about half an hour!! i thought it was a conincidence at first, but I tried a couple of times with the same result, then thought it better not to try again!!!!!!!

You might be right. Gemstones are special stones that can absorb certain energies. That is why they are said to have 'healing' properties like some other stones(used for spa, etc). Rubies are considered to be gems under the 'hot' category. Your body tends to get heated up.

I didn't do anything to develop it. I noticed it first when I was
about 10 years old. I saw something that actually happened
a few hours later. It is not a consistent gift. It comes and
goes I think. Intermittently over the years I have had about
a few dozen psychic incidents.

Psychic visions, etc do not come at will. That is why there are not constant. I believe that it is God 's way of communicating with you.

But, you can always improve on it by practising meditation etc

I don't know whether it is having power or not. But i like the emerald gemstone very much. I am having one with my bracelet. All gemstones looks so beautiful and attractive.

Yeah they're really adorable. I like sapphire the most although I haven't seen one for real.

i love the ruby ring that my mom bought for me. it shines brilliantly. but like reira, i think sapphires look really smashing and simply adorable.

I love rubies and emeralds, but I'm also very partial to sapphires. I love the deep blue hue. And of late I've come to love my birthstone, peridot. It's striking green hue goes well with summer clothes.
