a diamond is a girl's best friend so we have to make sure that our diamond is real. there are many ways to test a diamond but i can't tell which produces the most accurate result. you could breathe on the stone and if it fogs up, then it could not be the real thing. try to put the diamond on a piece of newspaper. if you could see the letters through the stone, your diamond is fake. you could also use the light of your laser keyring. a real diamond will not let the light go through it. instead, you would just see a halo around the stone.

I think if I was given a diamond by my husband I wouldn't question if it were real or not. If he wants to buy me a fake, that is fine with me~ it is the thought that counts.

I do have diamonds and usually take them to my jewler to be cleaned. I am certain if they weren't real, he would have informed us.

My teacher said a real diamond does sparkle also it should be clear. One thing I know to prove that it's real. They said the only thing which is harder than glasses are diamonds. If you can cut them with the diamond then that sure is real.

That's not true, there are lots of materials harder than glass.

my parents gave me a set of 1-karat diamond earrings when i graduated from primary school. out of curiosity then, i brought it to a jewelry store in the mall to have it checked if they were real. not that i doubted my parents but i wasn't expecting diamonds at the age of 13!
