I babysit a 16 month old little girl. She is horrible when it comes to hitting. She is always hitting the other children and even me! I usually put her in the playpen when she hits and tell her to have nice hands. It really isn't working at all. Any suggestions on how to teach a little one not to hit? |

Hit her back. lol JUST KIDDING!!! Have you explained to her that hitting hurts and maybe ask her how she would feel if someone hit her? Maybe if she thinks about it happening to her, she will realize that it's not nice. Giving time outs is the only other thing I can think of, or taking away her favorite toy.. maybe even taking away her dessert or something? If the other kids have a snack time.. |
