Next month we are taking a family vacation to the beach. My grandson will be coming and we are trying to figure out what to keep him in on the beach. Do they make anything that is easily portable to put a 9 month old in at the beach so he won't be right in the sand? Any suggestions?

I know it's not small, but what about a playpen, or something like it? I'm not sure if they make smaller versions for younger children. If they do, he would still be able to enjoy the view but not get all dirty from the sand and you could keep an eye on him really easily |

I was thinking about bringing a playpen too. It would just be such a pain lugging it along with all of the other beach misc. I am going to have to do some research and see if they have something smaller that might work.

I used to utilize baby strollers while going out for a walk in nearby garden or sea shore. It's very comfortable to keep baby in a stroller..that way you can carry little bag or purse if any and baby stays free also. Have a look at such baby stroller http://www.shoppersstop.com/catalogservlet?categoryId=327862
