Default Mother's milk

It is seen that ladies sometimes avoid feeding the infants with their milk for a long time but they don't know that this may have long lasting implications on the child's health. It may lead to retarded growth of their bones or even brain.

From studies and researches it is a proven fact that mother's milk is best for babies. And the very act of breastfeeding performs the best form of bonding between the mother and the child. Proper education to the mothers on these aspects should just be fostered to ensure the proper understanding about these topics.

I felt guilty for not being able to breastfeed my baby. Its not that I never intended to breastfeed - I prepared myself for this. I bought breast pump, I took medicines which they say would stimulate the production of milk and I always had soup whenever I eat. Its just too bad that I could only produce a maximum of 1 oz of breast milk per pump.

For mothers who are blessed with more than enough amount of milk that your baby could consume, you are sooo lucky! Don't waste it.

Same as misslee, upto now, after 3 years, I still feel guilty for not breastfeeding my son for a longer period rather than just 4 months. I also prepared myself for breastfeeding. I even bought two breast pumps, one manual and one electric. I also took vitamins to produce milk. I was happy breastfeeding my son, but I decided to end it when I became busy with the business that we started 4 months after giving birth. I feel tired and stressed all the time working from day to night and I've noticed that the milk I was pumping out wasn't as rich in color as before. And my son wouldn't get the complete nourishment that he needed during that time.

Breastfeeding is really best for babies. It makes them stronger and not sickly.

I have never breast fed my children and I have to say that as a bottle feeder I understand that the breast milk has some extra benefits but formula is just as good and has all that baby needs, all babies whether breast or bottle fed still get sick, still get colds and still turn our fine. Neither of my children have brain or bone retardation.

That's great that both of your children turned out fine. But, that still doesn't change the fact that breastmilk is THE BEST for infants.

I am a huge fan of breastfeeding! It's the best. It's natural, best for baby, and absolutely free. And babies love, love, love it.

Breastfeeding is such a great way to bond with your baby too. Now, I have supplemented with formula, but you can't bond as warmly with a bottle as you can with breastfeeding. It's such a delight to have your baby snuggled up to you, knowing that your body is producing exactly what they need, at just the right temperature.

It's all a matter of personal choice, some people are convinced there is nothing like it and some people have a lot of faith in the producers of formula and trust them to put in all the nutrients that is needed in their milk. There are many babies who can't take breast milk, there are many babies that can't take formula. It's all about what is best for Mom and baby.

To say babies will develop a retardation because of drinking bottle milk is silly.
