Default nursing a baby with teeth

My son is almost 7 months old and has 2 teeth. The last week or so, its like he really discovered them (they came in about a month ago) because he has been biting HARD when he is eating. He leaves teethmarks, one time i swear he almost drew blood...

Anybody have suggestions on how to keep him from biting so much or so hard?

Try giving him those soft balls, which babies usually have to play with, and use them to bite on, it will probably give him an idea to bite softly. My friend uses this method for her baby girl. But do make sure the ball is kept in a clean place or regularly cleaned because its going to be in the baby's mouth.

But if you said that there was blood coming out too, then i suggest you take him to the doctor.

i think babies still can't control how hard they bite. the best solution would be to buy him teethers and other teething products out there. biting is a relief for them, and for my own child, i bought her teething biscuits which are quite hard, and she had a lot of fun biting into them, and wasn't so irritable since it helped relieve the pain.

I think its about time to stop nursing him. He has no control over his bite. You can pump milk from your breast and put it in a bottle instead.

I hate pumping. It takes too long and I don't have all day to pump when I could just nurse him. Yeah it hurts but I'm not going to stop breastfeeding because I know I would have to switch to formula

That's okay if you want to continue nursing despite the baby bites on your breasts. Just make sure that you treat the baby bites so it does not get infected.
