Default Care of New borns

New born is nothing but foetus which was safe in mother's womb without any infections and problems, came as a new born baby out and needs to get adjusted to the outside environment.
Steps to take care of New born baby,
1. Always wash your hands before handling the baby to prevent from any skin infections as their skin is very sensitive.
2. Your hands should always be warm while handling them.
3. If you have any upper respiratory tract infections like : cold, cough, etc,. avoid in contact with them or else where face mask.
4. Always keep the baby in well-ventilated room where there comes more sunlight.
5. Take the child to direct sunlight in the early hours to prevent from infections or neonatal jaundice, it is otherwise called as photo-therapy.
6. Keep the bed or craddle of the baby neat and tidy, gives comfortness to the baby, change the soiled clothes around the child.
7. Always wash the clothes of the baby thoroughly with some anti-septic solutions or disinfectants such as dettol.
8. Allow the clothes to dry in direct sunlight.
9. Give oil bath and soap & water bath daily, it gives freshness to the baby.
10. Feed the baby for every 2 hrs, don't starve the child.
11. Burp at the back of the child after feeding to avoid from aspiration.
12. If the child is crying or playing after feeds let them do that because it helps in digestion.
13. See that the child passes stools daily, otherwise consult a doctor.
14. Start gripe water for digestion to the child as advised by the doctor.
15. Don't forget to vaccinate your child regularly when ever needed.
