Default What do you call it?

I like to make these like meat pies..

I roll out a small circle of chipati, then spread with aloo (mashed potato) then put on a little bit of minced meat that has been spiced with curry, ginger, onion, and garlic... Then I put another circle of the chipati dough on the top and seal it.. Then I fry it on both sides in a pan with a little bit of oil (not a dry pan like when you make regular chipati but not deep fried like when you make pakora, just a table spoon of oil or ghee in the bottom of the pan)

I make this dish for my friends sometime and I don't know what it is called.. I had it when I was in Pakistan.

Hi,

I am from Pakistan I think it is called (aalu paratha). Your recipe is some changed but it looks delicious. I am going to try it soon. Thanks.

That's it Sadaqat! Thank you! I heard the name only once before and that is it. Yes the recipe is a little different I think. Maybe it's more "americanized". It's one of my favorite things.. Too bad it is so high in fat.

I've never had Aalu paratha with meat in it.

Maybe that's the Pakistani version.

I dont know of any specific Pakistani dishes, but it comes to mind that I once had something which Sweetz mentioned from a friends house, and yes it was a prantha. But it had no potatoes in it, it just had minced lamb inside as a stuffing, also traditionally known as keema prantha.

It is a different variety. I tried chapati roll but not with meat.

If we explore new dishes we have to give name.

Let them call "Chapati-meat roll".

I've had chapati before but have no idea how to make it. Has anybody got a recipe? Is it like a roti? I'm still looking for a roti recipe as well.
