Shakkarpare This sweet food is very famous in Punjab (India). For its preparation we require 3 bowls maida, 1 bowl khawa, ½ t/ps milk, 2 bowls sugar, ½ t/ps kesar, 1 t/ps velachi powder, 3 t/ps liquid ghee, 1 bowl almonds & pista. It is like shankarpale in Maharashtra but that are placed in sugar syrup. |

We make shakkarpare during Diwali. It can stay good for 1-2 months when kept in air tight container. I used to take jars of sakkarpare in my hostel during exams. It provided all of us with good source of glucose. :P
