Does anyone here feel like they shouldn't be made to cook and clean just because they're a woman? Honestly, I hate this association, but my mom is always trying to domesticate me.

Well, count me on this women. Sometimes, if I am alone in our house this what actually I am doing. I'll just went to a past food and ate there. Do you did this too? Which do you prefer, to cook or just eat outside?

I don't think you shoud be made to cook and clean just because you're a woman, I think you should be made to cook and clean because it's something that everybody who ever wants to live independantly should learn how to do. I had a much easier time of it when I moved out to start university as I was used to doing regular grocery shops, cooking and tidying a l.ittle each day. Mine was one of the few student houses that didn't get rats living in abandoned takeaway boxes! Yeah I get lazy and would much rather eat out all the time but as I can't afford that or a full time maid domestication has been my blessing

It DOES bug me when I come home and am expected to cook for my useless lazy brother though. But I'm looking forward to the day he's far away from mummy living on tinned food as that's all he can manage lol.

My mother said that, as a woman, we are responsible with the works at home. In my opinion, women are not made to to do all the household chores. I mean, there should be an equal responsibilities among the family. Is it wrong if a man cooks for the family? My brother in law does it a lot. Well, that could be one of the reasons why my sister likes him so much.

I agree with you completely. I don't believe that cleaning and cooking should just belong to women. Men have arms and legs too and they can just as much do the same things. Besides, if you are a working woman, it is the least your spouse can do to make things easier on you. I love to clean because I am a neat freak but I don't feel that I gotta be stuck with it because I am a woman.
