Have you tried baking? Last summer, I attended a baking lesson and it was fun. Actually, I love the tasting part a lot. Most of the time, I can't bake it perfectly but that didn't stop me from trying. I love to make cookies.

I use to bake all the time, I guess when kids come along and housework etc that all goes out the window, I try to do a bit now and again but maybe it's for the best that I don't do a lot otherwise I'd be the size of a house lol

I bake alot in the winter months. I do it because it warms up the house and is an excuse to have lots of yummy sweets in the house.

My kids love coming home from school to a fresh baked treat.

The only cake that I baked in my entire life is the butter cake. T_T I don't have any talent when it comes to baking altough I want to try some. I love eating cakes so I'd better learn how to make some for me and my hubby.

I love to bake - my passion is to open up a recipe book and pull out three or four different recipes and try them out during the week. Yes, we end up with a lot of baked goodies but I share them with friends and other people so we don't eat them all and gain weight

I am used into baked. My mom and I usually baked during special occasions. We really enjoyed a lot from it. How about you?

My mom doesn't actually bake cakes but she loves making cookies. I love her cooking so much. She do loves sweets a lot so when I come to visit her I always bring something sweet for her.

Given the fact that Canadian winters are extremely cold, I do a lot of baking in the winter as well
Even though I don't limit this pleasure to just winter months, I must say that I am more inclined to bake in the winter than summer months as it gets very hot even if all the windows are open in the house.

I love baking cakes & making cookies too, i often do this at home for my kid so that he enjoys them, i frequently bake plain, carrot & chocolate cake, for birthdays and especially at christmas time. Christmas time is the greatest occasion for us to enjoy by baking cakes and sharing with our neighbours, friends, relatives & church members. How many of like doing this? I personally like doing this.

I like eating home made cakes rather than buying them out in a cake shop. I may not be a good baker but I love decorating them. =)) I like to experiment some cute cake decors.

i used to bake when i was younger. but just simple ones such as brownies and chocolate cakes. but then i lost the time to bake when i started going out with friends and having other hobbies. i am thinking of starting to learn how to bake again since i now have kids and would love to bake for them instead of having to go out each time to the bakeshop to buy sweets. this would be a good opportunity to bond with kids too, especially if you have daughter/s.

This could be a good idea, baking as a business. You don't have to worry much, Kat. For as long as there would be people who like to eat cakes and cookies, the business will be fine. Who could be your prospected customers? Well, since you are a beginner, your friends and relatives will be your first customers. This may actually take time however, if you have the patience, I believe your business would succeed.

Do you think it would take a big capital? Baking or bakeshop would be a great business however, this is quite risky. Anyway, one must not play safe always. I mean, we should be risk taker sometimes.

I love to bake only because I have sweet-tooth. My favorite things to bake are brownies, and golden cake with chocolate frosting.

I am so glad that you gave me some advice because I have been tossing that around . And I was thinking about writing a cookbook as well. If you ladies wold not mind looking as some of my recipes that I have done. I am currently working on 7 new recipes.

To check them out and let me know what you think by leaving a message attached to the site . I really would want to know if it would be worth putting them in a book

I wish I could say I was good at baking. However, my bfs have always been the cooks around the house. I'm lazy I guess. All I ever really make is cereal
